Assistive Technology

  1. In the vedio a special education teacher named Kathy demonstrated the different types assistive technology that she used in her class. The very first one I was familiar with because I taught special education to elementary students. The students who had problems expressing their needs and wants were trained to used the assistive technology. The visual cube was not familisr. I did not work with any students who were deaf, but according to Kathy all students can benefit from it. The nest interesting assistive technology was the (and I hope I heard it right) was the Pimier 4. It is used for the lower functioning students and has simple steps to follow. The device is set up where your voice can be recorded and record new information on it as needed.
